编这本作品集时，通过电脑，我看见高倍放大的油画局部效果图，虽然都是普通作品的细部，但其整体上都呈现出统一的书写性质，那是些变化无常的、用色彩的笔触织成的网，我第一次认清什么是自己自然而然流露的技巧。

　　对我来说，技巧有两种形态，一种是多年磨炼出来的既定的东西,它基本不大变，可以画任何内容;另一种则是被不同题材的多变性激发出来的、应运而生的东西。这是两种形式，前者易于归类，后者只好叫不定型的直觉的产物。它们都是真实的存在。

　　不管技巧可预知和不可预知，它都是一根风筝线，它使绘画的精神内容如风筝般自由飞翔却不能脱线飞走。身处不断变化的大时代，在所有的艺术种类、形式都已到齐的文化背景下，超越前人的必要性已让位给个性。这也使我至今仍然追求美妙、和谐、轻松的画面，探索内容和形式之间迷人的关系。

　　画家就像自己编歌自己唱的歌手，他用自己的嗓音和技巧唱完一首歌，表达完自己的情感，一个过程就结束了。作品是顺便留下来的东西，说它成功与否，价值几何也都是附带的事情。

　　绘画是一个条件，它提供的个性化可能是自然与观画者之间的一道桥梁。

　　这本画册给了我这个条件，让我可以展示一幅幅图画，感谢生活对我的厚爱。如果说有一道桥梁，那它不仅体现在自然和观画者之间，更存在于我和生命中的亲人、友人之间……

Postscript

　　When compiling this collection of my works, I saw highlymagnified images of parts of the paintings with the aid of a computer.Though they are merely details of ordinary paintings, they showsomething universal in terms of brushwork. They are nets fabricated witherratic brushstrokes of different colours. For the first time, I clearly sawthose skills of mine which could be labeled as “spontaneous”.

　　As I see it, artistic techniques are of two types. One type isacquired gradually in the course of practice, which can be employedinvariably to illustrate any subject. The other type is inspiredspontaneously by a variety of subjects. While the former are relativelyeasy to define and describe, the later can only be termed as products ofintuition. Techniques of both the types exist in reality.

　　Whether predictable or not, an artistic technique is like a stringthat keeps the kite of the content of a painting flying but not runningfree of its form. In this era characterised by change, in which allartistic genres and forms are present, the necessity of outdoingpredecessors have been superseded by the expression of personality. Thishas motivated me to seek beautiful, harmonious and relaxing life scenesand to explore the intriguing relationship between content and form.

　　A painter is like a singer who sings songs that he has himselfcomposed. With his voice and techniques, he sings a song to expresshis own feelings and sentiments. When he finishes, a process ends.The work itself is a side product. It is a matter of less significance todiscuss whether the work is a success or how much it is worth.

　　Painting is an opportunity. The possibility of personalization may bea bridge between Nature and the audience.

　　This collection is also an opportunity for me to display mypaintings and to express my gratitude for the favour of life. If it canbe compared to a bridge, it is not only one between Nature and theaudience, but also one between me and my family and friends…
